Best Cardio Workout

Is there really a best cardio workout for belly fat loss? Does interval training really burn more calories than aerobics?

I’ll answer these questions and many more but in order to do so I’ll be looking at it from three directions: effective calorie burning, duration of a workout and how it boost metabolism. These three criteria’s will show what is the best cardio weight loss program is.

Cardio Weight Loss

Best Cardio workout What is interval training? It has been proven to be more effective than regular cardio and aerobics training. Plus, they help you get your workouts done in less time that it would take you to do aerobics.

And one of the good things about intervals is that there is no set fat loss workout you must do to lose weight. There are so many varieties that work so you can change your workout every week to keep your belly fat loss from stopping.

By alternating your workouts often you are not only insuring that you will not hit a plateau but will be integrating the key principal of the Turbulence Training For Abs program – Variety.

Interval training Basics

Interval training is not just for advanced athletes, they are in actuality more efficient in beginners as they will help you get in shape faster making fat loss seem easier. The beauty of intervals is you can adjust them to meet your fitness levels.

Beginners could walk at 4 mph for 30 seconds then slow down to 2 mph for 60 seconds. Repeat this 6 times and there’s your first interval session. You could also do treadmill interval training.

All you have to do is increase the level of intensity a little higher than you are use to for 30 to 60 seconds and then slow down for 30 and up to 120 seconds to recuperate.

If you’re doing regular aerobics and you begin doing intervals 3 times a week it will really speed up your belly fat loss, here’s why:

Numerous studies have shown that intervals are the best cardio workout when it comes to burning calories. An Australian University compared it to aerobic training over a 3 month period. Subjects that used interval training lost more weight than the group doing aerobics.

They found it to be the best cardio workout because it causes more muscle breakdown requiring more muscle adaptation resulting in metabolic turbulence which boost metabolism. Basically what this means is that it requires more energy to get your muscles back to the way they where at normal resting state. And using more energy means burning more calories.

So don’t get hung up on counting the calories that you burn during a workout because you’ll burn more calories after making it the best cardio workout. Because after you work hard just sit back and let your muscles burn the calories as it recovers from the training.

Interval Training For Beginners

A warning first, if you have not worked out for a while, please see your doctor so that he can give you the O.K. to exercise.

You must ALWAYS warm-up for at least 5 minutes before starting.

Follow that with 60 seconds of a slightly higher intensity than regular cardio. Without resting do 90 seconds at an easier pace. Then go back to 60 seconds at a harder level. The intensity level you should use should make it difficult to complete the 60 seconds but not so hard as to be completely fatigued. Use the 90 seconds to catch your breath. If at the end of the 90 seconds you are still winded, take more time but in your next 90 second cycle reduce the intensity even more.
